RUKIGA TYCOON, KIRASHA LAID TO REST

The body of the fallen Businessman Jonathan Kirasha The man that championed coffee trade in Kigezi and Ankole was on Thursday laid to rest at his ancestral Home in Kandago Nyamishenyi Parish Muhanga Town council Rukiga District.
Jonathan Kirasha passed on February 20th 2024 at midday at Platinum Hospital in Kampala after failing to get immediate dialysis.
Kirasha who begun business at tender age of 14 years begun selling coffee then ventured into produce and transportation.
The widows Pauline Kemirembe Kirasha and Anna Turyahikayo Kirasha, in there eulogy, described Kirasha has a loving and caring husband.
Children led by Caroline Tayebwa the daughter said that her father 7 years ago he developed an illness that required him to go for dialysis three times a week every time he got complications one year later he developed a mini stroke.
Tayebwa says that during the first lock down after he developed complications with his kidney he was then put on Dialysis for 5 times but later three times.
Robert Mbabazi Kakwerere the Rukiga LC5 Boss described him as a pillar of economic development the championed trade not only in Rukiga but the nation besides mentoring many other people like the late Tycoon Apollo Nyegamahe
Roland Bish Ndyomugyeyi the Rukiga County Member of Parliament in his glowing tribute he described Kirasha as a great icon and pillar of business was a humble super advisor businessman in Kigezi that inspired and empowered other businessmen to see them grow.
He said that Kirasha leaves an unpalleled legacy as astute businessman and has been a strong pillar of Kigezi and Uganda in general.
Kirasha was born in Kandago village Nyamishenyi Parish Rukiga District on March 30th 1947
He is survived by two widows Pauline Kemirembe Kirasha, Anna Turyahikayo Kirasha 15 children, 35 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
