RUKUNGIRI: ARMED ROBBERS SHOOT WOMAN RUN AWAY WITH 5M

Police in Rukungiri are hunting for assailants said to have shot, injured and robbed money from a business woman.
Three unknown assailants armed with a riffle, knife and stick attacked one Aldrin Nankunda of Kakyeka cell, Northern ward Western division Rukungiri municipality, shot her in the thigh and robbed her of five million ugx.
It’s alleged that on Monday 18/06/18 at around 08:30pm while from her place of work at Central market, Natukunda parked the vehicle and used a small gate to pick the garage key.
On her way back to the vehicle, she met the assailants who shot and forcefully took her to the vehicle and got the money and took off. She was rushed to Nyakibale hospital where was referred to Mbarara in critical condition.
Police visited the scene, one cartridge and the knife recovered and inquiries underway.
