RUKUNGIRI: FAMILY BURIES MURDERED UPDF OFFICER BEFORE POST MORTEM, 4 ARRESTED

Police in Rukungiri district are holding four people for burying a 46 year old man before post mortem after he was allegedly murdered by a yet to be identified persons.

The suspects are Nshekanabo Crypriano the Kashegu cell LC1 chairperson Kyomukama Annah, Kasheija Victor and Nyesiga Sezi all family members of the deceased.

According to Elly Mate the kigezi region police mouthpiece ,Rtd RA /173482 corporal Nabimanya Ambrose  retired UPDF officer a resident of Kashegu cell Kahoko parish Nyakagyeme sub county Rukungiri District, went missing from his home on 14^th July 2020

Matte told www.mknewslink.com reporter that body of Nabimanya was later found in his house by his uncle Kashaija Victor on the 17/7/2020 at 1800hrs.

Matte noted that Family members checked the body of the deceased but found out that it had no private parts, one eye was plucked out and the tongue cut off.

However, family members led by Kyomukama Anna, Kashaija Victor and Nyesiga Sezi insisted and  buried  the body at about 2030 hrs. of the night before post mortem could be carried out.

Matte also revealed that on 18/7/2020 Bigabwomwe Noah the concerned resident of the same address informed the police about the matter which forced them to visit the scene and got the suspects who are currently at Rukungiri main police.

The case was registered at Rukungiri main police under file number CRB 1333/2020 and inquiries are ongoing.
