RUKUNGIRI FDC ELECTORAL COMMISSION CHAIRMAN IS DEAD

Godfrey Katunguka, the Forum for Democratic Change FDC Electoral Commissioner for Rukungiri District is dead.

Katunguka passed on last night at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital where he has been receiving treatment.

He died of cancer of the throat. Katunguka had served as the FDC District Electoral Commission head since 2006.

“Members in the struggle we have lost our member in the struggle also the chairman electoral commission FDC Rukungiri Godfrey Katunguka in Mbarara just few minutes ago, so we need prayers” Caleb Musiimenta, the Forum for Democratic Change Rukungiri District Administrator wrote last night.

Aliban Rukundo the former Western Region Youths Parliamentary Aspirant and Perez Rumanzi the former Ntungamo Municipality Parliamentary candidate, among other party officials eulogized the deceased as a straight forward, jolly insightful leader.

“RIP Uncle God Katunguka, may the Angels receive you and judge you fairly. You lived a straight forward life, you were Jolly and insightful.

Your brand shall live on. I wished for a longer life for you but God has chosen to take you during this bad time when you have not completed your mission to remove the dictator.” Rumanzi eulogised
