RUKUNGIRI MAN TO SERVE 22 YEARS IN PRISON FOR RAPING BIOLOGICAL MOTHER

High Court at Rukungiri presided over by Justice Moses Kazibwe Kawumi on Thursday 20th January 2022 sentenced one Mudede Geoffrey 28, to 25 years imprisonment over rape.

Mudede Geoffrey is a resident of Nyakatookye cell, Rwanyondo Parish, Nyakishenyi Sub County, Rukungiri district who on 28th November 2018 raped his 78 year old biological mother.

Prosecution proved Mudede Geoffrey guilty, he pleaded for fair punishment but the presiding judge Moses Kazibwe Kawumi condemned the act saying it ashamed the community and showed disrespect for the elderly.

Mudede was sentenced to 25 years, reduced by the 3 years he had spent on remand

He will now serve 22 years.
