Rukungiri central police have in custody a 20 year old man on charges of motorcycle theft
The suspect is Robert Mugabe a resident of Mugamba cell, Kyaruyenje parish, Buhunga Sub County
Mugabe was nabbed by police on Sunday night after a tip off that a motorcycle reg. UEJ 858C belonging to Allan Muhoozi of total stage had been stolen from him at Mugamba trading center.
ASP Edwin Atukunda, the OC Rukungiri police station confirmed that they were notified by the boda boda cyclists about the theft.
Atukunda revealed that they then launched a hunt and recovered the motorcycle together with the suspect.
Atukunda thanked the boda boda cyclists for taking law in their hands as usual and promised to continue with investigations to find out who the suspect deals with.
The case has been registered under police file CRR 016/2019.
