RUKUNGIRI SENIOR SIX LEAVER FOUND DEAD IN LODGE ROOM

Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances under which a senior Six leaver was found dead in lodge room after drinking alcohol

The deceased have been identified as Davis Turyatunga aged 22 a student in who completed senior Six last year also a resident of Binyena village Kisizi parish Nyarushanje sub county, who was found dead from Ensinikweri Moses’s bar in the lodge room.

According to the deceased’s mother Rosemary Kyomuhendo told police that on 12/02/2023, at about 11:00pm in Binyena village, Twinamatsiko Sustino 20 years a student in O level vacation, moved with the deceased from their home to unknown place

Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson said that they later appeared at the mentioned bar at Kisizi upper trading center where they allegedly asked to be served drinks in a private room lodge section.

Maate revealed that at around 04:00am Twinamatsiko Sustino allegedly informed the bar attendants that his colleague, now the deceased, was very drunk and unable to move by himself, hence left him deep asleep.

Maate said that surprisingly the deceased was found dead in the morning of 13/02/2023 by bar attendants at around 10:00am when they checked on him after he failed to open.

Police were accordingly notified, and the scene was visited by district CID boss and team, processed, 04 empty plastic bottles of Torero drink and 02 empty ones of Sting energy drink were recovered from the room where the body was found.

Meanwhile the body was conveyed to Rwakabengo health center III mortuary for postmortem and the two bar attendants plus Twinamatsiko were arrested to help police in investigations while Inquiries at hand.
