RUKUNGIRI TEACHER STABBED TO DEATH

Police in Rukungiri is hunting for unknown assailants who allegedly murdered a teacher of Kyamakanda one week after schools broke off for the first term holidays
The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate identified the deceased as Byamukama Denis male adult 42 a teacher at Kyamakanda primary school located in Buyanja sub county and a resident Kitenga village Garubunda parish Kebisoni sub county Rukungiri district
It’s alleged that the deceased was last seen on 18/4 /22 at about 1700hrs entering his rental room in Rukungiri Municipality by the children of the neighbors
Maate narrated that his body was discovered by his biological daughter Ampwera Demase 17 years, who had returned from Easter holiday from her grand mother’s
According to the residents ,the deceased has been drinking a lot alcohol
Police visited the scene and documented it, the body was found with 2 stab injuries on the head.
It was taken to Rwakabengo health centre mortuary for postmortem,
Maate says Inquiries are underway
The case of murder was registered at Rukungiri Central Police station under reference number CRB: 315/2022.
