RUKUNGIRI WOMAN SENTENCED TO 23 YEARS IN PRISON FOR MURDERING SON OVER LAND

High court in Rukungiri has sentenced a 53 year old woman to prison for 23 years on conviction of murdering her son.

High Court presided over by Justice Moses Kazibwe Kawumi heard that on 15th August 2021 Tindikurwa Leodera conspired with her other son Kiiza Linas 15, to murder Twinamatsiko Edson over land issues.

Tindikirwa Leodera is a resident of Rurindo cell, Ngoma parish, Nyakishenyi Sub County, Rukungiri district.

Prosecution presented evidence that proved the two guilty.

Tindikirwa Leodera was sentenced to 23 years and 9 months imprisonment whereas Kiiza Linasi was sent to the Kampiringisa juvenile remand for a 12 month rehabilitation.
