RWAMPARA: MAN ARRESTED FOR BEHEADING STEP MOTHER OVER FAMILY PROPERTY

Police in Rwizi region are investigating circumstances under which a head of 45-year-old woman was chopped off by unknown assailants.
Lydia Kapasi a resident of Kinyungu cell, Ryamutonga parish, Mwizi subcounty, Rwampara district was on 30th August 2020 found laying in a pool of blood in her step son’s banana plantation with her head chopped off.
According to ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesperson, the deceased left home for Mwizi trading center on the 30th day of August,2020 at around 0600/c to mend her clothes at the tailor’s leaving her children at home but never returned which prompted them to report the matter to chairman LCI Mucunguzi Cleophus.
Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that a search was mounted in the neighbourhood and the body was recovered in a banana plantation leaves belonging to her step son Paul Mubangizi
Kasasira added that the deceased’s son was one year ago murdered in the same manner and attributed the murders to sharing of the family property.
The scene was visited by police, post-mortem done and one suspect arrested, according to Kasasira.
