RWAMPARA RDC WARNS CDOS OVER NEGLIGENCE OF DUTY

Rwampara district RDC Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi has issued a strong warning to all sub county community development officers in the district who have neglected their official tasks but rather spend time on their own activities.

His remarks come at a time when the community development officer for Rugando sub country is on run after failing to account for UWEP and youth livelihood fund.

The president’s representative made the remarks during the annual general meeting of Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Emyooga Sacco groups in the district that was held on Friday at Allied primary school in Ndeija Sub County.

The RDC said that CDOs earn a lot of money per month but most of them do not attend office duties instead spend time in their own businesses in Mbarara city and other areas while residents are yearning for their services.

The RDC however said that every CDO must report to the office in the morning and must leave in the evening and they should always make weekly reports of what they do in the field.

In her remarks the District Commercial Officer Rwampara district Azarwa Elizabeth said that community development officers should always sensitize Emyooga group members on how to invest the money allocated to them by the government.
