RWANDA NATIONAL LYNCHED TO DEATH IN KABALE

Police in Kabale are hunting for suspects who allegedly lynched a Rwandan national to death.
The deceased is Charles Somalia a resident of Rukomo village Nyagatare district Rwanda. He was murdered by a mob last evening at around 7: 00 pm at Omukalere market Mukochi cell Kahondo parish Maziba sub county Kabale district.
It’s alleged that Somalia was lynched after he developed a fight with a group of yet to be identified Ugandan locals while at a drinking place in a bar that belongs to a woman only identified as Maliza in Omukareere market.
During the fight, Somalia tried to run away but was overpowered and stoned him to death, a few meters away from the bar.
The Kigezi Police spokesperson Elly Maate said that the body was picked and taken to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem as efforts to establish those involved are being made so that are brought to book. The case has been registered Kabale police station under file number SD 102/11/06/2018.
