Rwashameire Town council in Ntungamo district has come up with new resolution to penalize town dwellers who fail to clean their places of residence and work as a way promoting sanitation and hygiene.
According to Health Inspector Rwashameire Town council Katungwensi Innocent the resolution which was passed by the council recently is aimed at beautifying and cleaning the town to be one of the cleanest towns in Ntungamo District.
Katungwensi noted that those found littering wastes in town council will be fined 20,000/= (twenty thousand only) or taken to court or both.
He made remarks yesterday during the prophetic general cleaning organized by Holiness Christian Centre Rwashameire as one of the activities towards the end of Marathon crusade for 21 days that has been going on at Rwashameire play grounds since March 13th, 2019.
Kyomuhendo Rosette the town agent Central ward appealed to all business community to cooperate with their leaders in order to improve the sanitation and hygiene.
The founder of Holiness Christian Centre Rwashameire Pastor Evans Akankwatsa noted that prophetic general cleaning will be a routine program such that people can be transformed spiritually and physically.
Present were Pastor Nabaasa Yoram (Nabs), Pastor Joseline Akankwatsa and pupils of Holiness mother Care Nursery and Primary school.
