RWIZI POLICE INVESTIGATES INFERNOS IN TWO SCHOOLS

MBARARA
Police in Rwizi Region has commenced investigations into Two Suspected Fire outbreaks at Rubaare senior Secondary School in Ntungamo district and Rutooma senior secondary school in Bwizibwera-Rutooma Town council in Mbarara District.
According to ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Police mouthpiece the two incidences happened yesterday at around 9:30PM where properties worth millions were destroyed but fortunately no student was injured at the two schools as students were all in class at the time .
Kasasira adds that the fires was successfully extinguished with the help of students and the fire brigade teams and investigations are still underway to establish the the cause of the out break at the two schools.
Patrick Tumuhiimbise the mayor Bwizibwera-Rutooma Town Council says fire started At Rutooma Secondary school from one of the four boys Dormitories that houses over 50 students,
Tumuhiimbise adds that the head teacher alerted the fire brigade team in time although by the time police arrived most of the student belongings that include Suit cases, Mattresses,books and clothes were already destroyed by the fire.
Rwizi Region has now registered five fire incidences in a period of three months which include the fire out break at Mbarara secondary school in Mbarara city, Rushanje Girls secondary school in Rweibogo cell, Rwampara District,St.Andrews Rubindi Secondary School in Rubindi Ruhumba Town council, Mbarara District, Rutooma secondary School In Bwizibwera-Rutooma Town council Mbarara District, and Mbarara view high school in katete Mbarara city and Rubaare Senior secondary school in Ntungamo District.
