Security operatives are searching for NBS journalist Solomon Sserwanja over unknown reasons.
Sources said Sserwanja and other journalists intended to publish a news story which could have landed them in trouble.
Human Rights Network for Journalists Coordinator Robert Ssempala said security operatives on Wednesday night surrounded the home of Sserwanja.
“However he was not in the house and has since arrested his wife Vivian Nakaliika Sserwanja,”Sempala noted.
Ssempala said two other unidentified journalists working with British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) have been arrested too.
The journalists are being detained at Kampala Central Police Station.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga was not readily available for comment.
Sserwanja, a prominent investigative journalist and news anchor, remains on the run.
