SHEEMA: 2.3B UGX KIGARAMA SEED SCHOOL COMMISSIONED WITHOUT WATER, ELECTRICITY

Kigarama seed Secondary School in Sheema district has been commissioned despite the uncompleted playground, lack of enough water and no electricity.
The school was commissioned by the government Chief Whip Thomas Tayebwa yesterday 11th March 2022.
Tayebwa toured the school but found the contractors didn’t put the playground to its standard and ordered them to re do it.
He revealed that they are going to look for immediate solution to lack of water and electricity at the school.
Sheema District Chief Administrative Officer John Betungura told www.mknewslink.com that the 2.3 billion shillings project will see to the construction of two classroom blocks, laboratory, library, Administration block, staff quarters, kitchen, Toilets, computer science lab, and multipurpose hall.
He thanked the leaders of Kigarama church who gave out the land where the school was built.
Rosemary Nyakikongoro the Sheema District woman MP stressed that this will help students from walking long distances looking for better education.
In her message read by Tayebwa, the education Minister Janet Kataha Museveni congratulated Kigarama community upon getting a seed school.
She asked the school administration to ensure its maintenance and good functioning of all the facilities in order to serve their intended purposes.
Kigarama seed school has an enrollment of 65 students; 38 girls and 27 boys, according to the head teacher George Bafaki .
