There is panic in Sheema district after six staff from Kitagata hospital tested positive for corona virus, residents have been urged to observe the standard operating procedures – SOPs to contain the spread of the virus.
Dr. Dickens Atwongire the Sheema District Health Officer – DHO has confirmed the cases, and warned the residents against breaking the SOPs.
The Sheema Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Rosemary Nyakikongoro notes that residents have dead ear whereby they are rejecting covid 19 vaccines.
The politician noted that covid 19 victims can get healed after being vaccinated, but people are still organising parties and unnecessary visits which costs the country in fighting the pandemic.
She has however emphasized the doctors always to stand warned about their patients before treating them, and every official to play his/her role when on duty.
