SHEEMA HEADTEACHERS TO FORM WILDLIFE CONSERVATION CLUBS IN SCHOOLS.

Cabinet Minister for Tourism and antiquities Hon Prof Ephraim Kamuntu asked head teachers to form wildlife conservation clubs in their schools.
He said this while launching Uganda wildlife Conservation Education centre in Sheema district on Friday 23rd November 2018 in Kabwohe central division main hall.
Hon Kamuntu said that the only solution to minimize the rate of destructing wildlife is to educate the kids and youths about the values of sustaining wildlife and the negative results of not conserving it.
He asked the head teachers and teachers who were in a launch to start with immediate effect the wild life conservation clubs in their schools and teach pupils and students about it.
Minister added that tourism earns a lot of revenue in Uganda but that he is worried because of the high rate of destruction of wildlife which he said that almost 60% of elephants and 40% of lion.
District Education officer Sheema district Mr Esau Nshabiirwe Willy asked all head teachers in Sheema district from both private or government schools to join wildlife conservation clubs at district and regional levels.
