Cabinet Minister for tourism and antiquities who is also a Sheema South MP Prof Ephraim Kamuntu has showed his worry about the carelessness of government health workers in his constituency.
Kamuntu showed his disappointed about how some leaders become proud of health workers when they (health workers) do not perform their duties as it is needed saying that they don’t even show up on their places of work.
“I have seen Mayor appreciating Shuuku health centre iv in charge, but I’m totally disappointed with Shuuku health workers, one day I went there at 2:40Pm but I didn’t find there anyone like a doctor or nurse, I went back to the gate but even the gate man wasn’t there. I found there a man with his wife in deep sorrows looking for what to do because they had a relative who was serious sick. You people should know that life has no spare, therefore our government workers should be carefully,” he said.
Kamuntu said these while at Shuuku Town council headquarters in Sheema district on 7th June 2019 when the town council staff was giving accountability for what they have done.
Kamuntu isn’t the first one to complain about Shuuku health centre 4 for being careless. Of recent, the community complained about it following the death of woman delivering from Rugarama due to absence of workers.
He advised parents to fight for their families and take their children to school hence a bright future for them.
On the same function, Mayor Shuuku Town council Biziira Boaz reconciled with Minister Kamuntu who have been apart for so long.
Biziira openly told the public that he will support Prof. Kamuntu forever and he advised his (Kamuntu’s) opponents to accept the defeat.
“As we are heading to NRM primaries, I request you who will stand against Kamuntu to fully support him after primary elections in case you are defeated,” said Biziira.
RDC Sheema district Frank Kyereere asked chairmen LC 1 to work with police and fight against the rampant cases of coffee stealing in the area.
