Sheema municipality MP aspiring candidate who is the former Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) commissioner Dickson Kateshumbwa “Katesh” has launched his 2021 Election manifesto.
This was during a ceremony held on Monday at his home in Kabwohe Sheema municipality.
In bid to observe the COVID 19 regulations, the few attendants of the launch had their temperatures taken and recorded on top of being encouraged to wear masks, keep social distance and sanitise at the entrance.
Kateshumbwa said the people of Sheema municipality have been divided because of selfish and irresponsible leader ship, undermining effort to develop the area.
He also cited the lack of funding as the biggest impediment to development across the infrastructural and economic sector in the municipality.
“We shall work towards having a smart municipality with good infrastructure such as good roads, organised markets, street lighting, green space, among others,” he observed.
“We shall work with the business community to strengthen the Chambers of commerce and with different stake holders to increase access to and uptake of HIV prevention, care, treatment and support services,”said Kateshumbwa.
Kateshumbwa is tussling it out with Technology minister Elioda Tumwesigye in the forth coming NRM primaries.
