SHEEMA NORTH DECIDES: CANDIDATES BLAME EACH OTHER ON RIGGING, INTIMIDATION

Candidates in the Sheema north by elections, have blamed each other for trying to rig votes and intimidate voters.
The two candidates in the race; Guma Nuwagaba Betikura FDC and Naome Kibaaju NRM raised their concerns while speaking to journalists immediately after casting their votes.
Guma who cast his vote at 9:22 Am at Bulingo primary school polling station, said that the voting process started well but complained about what he called Mafias of his opponent who are intimidating his supporters especially where he has strong support.
He added that his opponent brought students from shuuku vocational secondary school and they voted for her.
Naome Kibaaju NRM candidate after casting her vote at Masheruka modern primary school polling station, said that her opponent brought people from outside and that they have started intimidating her supporters telling them that if they don’t vote Guma, they will be punished.
She added that last night her opponents put nails on the road heading to her home and that even FDC leaders spent the whole night spreading money bribing voters.
Former Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality MP Odo Tayebwa FDC stake holder was arrested at Kabutsye polling station on allegations that he was inciting violence.
