SHEEMA POLICE HUNT FOR DRIVER OVER KILLING MUNICIPAL COUNCILLOR

Police in Sheema are hunting for unidentified driver of a vehicle reg .no.UAV253 M on charges of reckless driving and causing death.

It is alleged that on 13^th Nov.2018 the unidentified driver collided with another vehicle reg.no.UAK 523S near Itendero high school as he tried to overtake while moving from Mbarara to Ishaka.

According to greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson Superintendent of Police Martial Tumusiime, the accident led to the death on spot of a 27 year old Arinaitwe Emmanuel a youth councilor in Kabwohe Municipality.

He added that once the driver is arrested he will be charged with reckless driving and causing death.

He has advised road users to be careful during these rainy and Christmas seasons in order to reduce on accidents.
