In Sheema—
Pupils of Nyarushinya primary school a government aided school in kitagata town council sheema district, attend classes from their teachers rooms due to insufficient class rooms.
Mk newslink.com has learnt that the school lacks enough class rooms which has forced the authorities to improvise and use teachers quarters to attend.
According to Lydia Kembabazi head teacher Nyarushinya, the not only attend classes from teachers houses but also share toilets with pupils.
Kembabazi adds that the school has insufficient staff noting that out seven classes from Nursery to primary seven, they only have seven teachers which according to her are not enough.
She told mk newslink.com that the only few classrooms they have, do not have windows, doors and desks and that all pupils sit on mats.
Joyce Mbabazi also a teacher at Nyarushinya said that when it rains heavily, they spend two days without entering in classes due to too much water inside.
They said that when they try to reach government leaders to help them, they keep on promising them.
Mk newslink.com tried to talk to some councilors from Kitagata town council to get a comment but they said that they have just obtained offices therefore they know nothing about the raised issues.
