SHEEMA TAXI DRIVERS ADVISED TO FOLLOW ROAD RULES

Drivers have been advised to bend to the laws governing roads, stop their bad behaviors of over speeding, and disrespecting Police officers.
The advice was given by Traffic officer Elima Isaac who represented the Regional Traffic Officer during the launching of ‘Sheema municipality Taxi Drivers Twetungure Association ‘ (SHEMTEDA) on Friday 23rd November 2018 at Clinka club in Kabwohe town.
Elima also asked them to avoid driving when they are tired and drunkard which he said that it has largely increased accidents.
However some taxi drivers told www.mknewslink.com that they don’t know the laws governing roads and requested that the traffic officers should stop arresting them but rather educate them when caught wrong.
Mr Tusiime Bulasiyo aka Kaihurankuba Chairperson SHEMTEDA said that they started their association with an aim of uplifting drivers from slavery and to assist each other whenever one of them gets a disaster.
Jason Katobe branch manager Muhame financial services limited where SHEMTEDA opened its account asked the drivers to get used of saving.
SHEMTEDA has 94 members and they save 10000 shs each member per day.
