SHEEMA: TWO ARRESTED FOR MURDERING PORK JOINT ATTENDANT IN IBANDA

Police in Ibanda district are investigating circumstances that led to the death of a pork joint attendant who was allegedly murdered by assailants.

Gideon Bumusiima 34 years a resident of Igorora cell Igorora Town council, Ibanda District and worker at a pork Joint who was murdered by unknown assailants who smashed his head with a hammer.

According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police mouthpiece, police intervened with a canine dog which led the team to the home of Kamusiime Rodgers a resident of Kagongi cell, Kihunda parish Kagango Sub county, Sheema Municipality.

Kasasira added that Kamusiime was therefore arrested alongside Mugabe Remons aged 23 years a resident of Nyakabirizi cell 01, Nyakabirizi Ward Ishaka -Bushenyi Municipality and are detained at Ibanda central police station.

 He also noted that exhibits of clothes stained with Fresh blood, a hammer with fresh blood stains and live ammunition were recovered from the house of the suspects.

The body of the deceased was taken to Ruhoko Health center IV for postmortem as investigations into the matter continue.
