SHEEMA: TWO MBARARA MEN ARRESTED WITH COUNTERFEIT MONEY

Police at Sheema Central prison have in detention two men on charges of circulating counterfeit money.
The two suspects have been identified by the area RDC Frank Besigye Kyerere as Umar Kibuye 45 years a resident of Bwizibwera and December Turyatunga 37 years a resident of Kolanorya both in Mbarara city.
Kyerere told journalists that the two were arrested by police on the 22nd.Oct.2021 in Kabwohe after they had circulated counterfeit notes of 900.000 shillings to different people.
The president’s representative said that the suspects had counterfeit money totaling to 2,100,000 shillings.
In his defense one of the suspects Umar Kibuye told journalists that he has been earning a living off circulating counterfeit notes.
Frank Kyerere is now appealing to the general public to be vigilant when handling money as people with ill intentions will use this chance as the year is ending to execute their evil.
