SHOCK AS BUNYANGABU MAN SLAUGHTERS NEPHEW OVER LAND

It was a moment of shock in Irinda zone, Kabahango parish, Buheesi Sub County, Bunyangabu district as a man who had been attacked by a relative over land, slaughtered him.

Laurence Murungi in his early 40s, ran out of luck on Sunday evening around 6;50pm when he raided the home of Kiiza George Kwirina , attacked him and a fight ensued.

Fuming Kiiza picked a panga and slaughtered Laurence Muhumuza into pieces leaving the body lying in a pool of blood.

It’s alleged that the deceased has always been attacking Kiiza and wanted to grab and sell the land that his father had given to Kiiza for settlement.

The angry residents stormed the area and starting beating Kiiza for the gruesome act but luckily he was rescued by the police that swung in immediately.

Kiiza acquired the land from his brother late Daliko Kabii the father to the deceased Muhumuza Laurence.

It is alleged that before his death, Daliko willed that Kiiza would stay and be buried on that land.

The residents who witnessed the murder blamed Laurence for attacking Kiiza having sold of a big chunk of land his father left to him.
