SINGER ROBBIE RABBA ARRESTED FOR RAPING STUDENT

Police in Kabale district has arrested 27 years old musician over alleged defilement of a 14year old school girl.

The suspect is Robertson Nasasira alias ‘Robbie Rabba’ a resident of Kanyakiriro cell Nyabikoni ward Central division Kabale municipality. Nasasira with yet to be identified suspect allegedly defiled a senior two student of Kabale Secondary School on the 04^th July 2018 in the evening hours at Kacwekano near Lake Bunyonyi.

It’s alleged that on that day the suspect together with another man still  who were driving RAV 4 registration number UAP 605P  met the victim from school at Kabale Secondary School.

They duo opted to give her a lift to her place in Nyakabungo cell Katokye parish Kyanamira sub county Kabale district, instead they diverted towards Lake Bunyonyi and tied her face with a piece of cloth and both of them raped her.

The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate said that the suspects  abandoned her at the scene and a boda boda cyclist found her and took her to police where she registered the case.

Maate said that the victim was able to identify them and Robbie was arrested and is being detained at Kabale police station. He added that police is hunting for other suspect so that both are aligned in courts of law to answer charges accordingly.
