SON MURDERS FATHER IN BUNYORO-KIKUUBE DISTRICT

Police have arrested one Herbert Katushabe 35 year’s old resident of kiswaza village for allegedly murdering his father Julius Kwesiga 61 years old over land.

Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine region police spokesperson explained that on 11th of this month the deceased was seen in kiswaza trading center while taking alcohol.

Hakiza says the following morning at around 7:00am one identified as Brain Belifula who had a contract of cutting trees had found Kwesiga lying down burnt to death in his seating room.

Hakiza says Befula reported the matter to police and they managed to arrest katushabe who is the deceased’s son after establishing that the suspect and the deceased have been in land conflicts for some time now.

He says the chairman of the village and some stakeholders had the recordings of Katushabe threatening to kill his father over land.

Katushabe is now behind bars being charged with murder case.
