SPECIAL AUDIT REPORT: STOLEN CASH RISE FROM 91M TO 104M, BUSHENYI ISHAKA INTERDICTED TREASURER FACES MORE TROUBLE

The special audit report on the stolen money by the interdicted Bushenyi Municipal Treasurer indicates that it has risen from 91 to 104 million shillings in the financial year 2014/2015.
The revelation was established in the special audit that was carried out by the Bushenyi District acting Principal Internal auditor Samuel Kumwesiga.
Bushenyi police cid department tasked Bushenyi Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) requesting him to carry out a special audit on 91 million shillings allegedly miss appropriated by Beyendeza in financial year 2014-15,
Secondly the special auditor was supposed to provide facts on how on 194 m was miss-allocated by the same treasurer in the F/Y 2019/2020.
The money was an advance payment from the ministry of Local goverment to Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality in the first quarter of 2019 /2020.
The principal auditor told www.mknewslink.com that the 91 increased to 104 millions because more money was stolen.
Jackson Beyendeza was detained 7 days at Bushenyi police station and later bonded as investigations continued.
Beyendeza alongside other interdicted two officials who are being investigated including Eng Deus Nuwagaba Procurement officer and Roberto Nuwagira prompted the Minister for Local Government Raphael Magyezi to intervene in early march 2020.
Report on 194 million will be released on Monday according to the auditor.
