SPEEDING VEHICLE KILLS PEDESTRIAN ON SPOT IN RUBANDA

A 25 year old man has been confirmed dead after he was knocked by a speeding motor vehicle along the Kabale-Muko road.
The tragic accident happened on Tuesday and the deceased has been identified as been identified as Herbert Ntambulanawo, a resident of Kibuku District.

Ntambulanawo was knocked dead by a motor vehicle registration number UAL 015F Isuzu elf blue tipper at around 1:00pm at Kitogota cell Kagarama parish in Bubare Sub County along Kabale -Muko road in Rubanda District. 

According to the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, the accident happened when the driver of the motor vehicle lost control and rammed into the deceased who was walking on foot killing him instantly.

 Maate said that the tipper driver was rushed to Kabale Region Referral
hospital for treatment while Ntambulanawo’s body was also taken to the
hospital mortuary for postmortem.

The police mouthpiece added that the vehicle has been towed to Rubanda police station as investigations to establish the cause are ongoing.

 He however warned drivers against reckless driving which he noted has claimed lives of many innocent people.
