ST. KAGWA’S REV.FR. ODOMARO TO BE BURIED TODAY AT NYAMITANGA

As Catholics of Mbarara Archdiocese were still in jubilation following the appointment of new archbishop Lambert Beinomugisha , shock struck them as they woke up to the news of the death of their priest Fr.Odomaro Mutungirehi .
Fr. Mutungirehi who has been the deputy headteacher at Bishop Ogez high school succumbed to cancer of spinal cord at Nsambya hospital where he was rushed to two weeks after days of ailing.
Before his appointment to Bishop Ogez, he served as Chaplain at St Joseph’s vocational , Sacred Heart Mushanga , Maryhill as well as secretary for education in the archdiocese of Mbarara above all a serving priest .
At the time of his death , he has been serving as one of the curates at St Kagwa parish in Bushenyi District and he had spent 25 years in the priesthood.
Fellow priests, parishioners and students mourned the fallen man of God as a person of integrity , educationist, God fearing and a God sent angel to the people who were close to him.
Fr. Charles Niwagaba Parish priest at St. Kagwa hailed Fr. Odomaro for his selflessness, dedication to God as he served with love and pride in the ministry of spreading the Gospel in the archdiocese.
The body of Fr. Odomaro will be laid to rest today at Nyamitanga Mbarara Cathedral.
