Buhweju district LC V chairman aspirant Deo Atuhaire Omuhatiizi has advised corrupt Buhweju district local government officials to start digging their own graves saying that in case he wins the next elections, he will pick one by one.
Deo Omuhatizi said all these after his nomination to contest for Buhweju district LCV chairmanship as independent at Buhweju district headquarters.
He said that he is tired of corrupt officials in Buhweju district, fully supported by their top political leaders who are more corrupt than the civil servants in the same district.
“Our aim is to rescue our district from exile because as of now to get a job at the district, you have to give a bribe, some of the district property have been sold by some top political heads who have never given the district accountability for that money,” Deo noted.
He added that he will start with the current district public accounts committee which he said is in a sleep mode, a factor that has rampantly increased corruption and bribery in Buhweju district.
Deo and Siston who was his opponent in the last elections have allied together to fight the alleged thief.
“When u find a thief stealing your banana, you can’t help him take it but you instead make an alarm so that people can come and help you to take him or her to police therefore, as I have allied with Deo we need your (voters) help and chase away the thief or drive him to his destination,” Siston Nuwagira said.
