STATE HOUSE ANTI-CORRUPTION UNIT INVESTIGATES SHODDY WORK AT KAMBUGA HOSPITAL IN KANUNGU

The Nakalema led state house anti corruption unit yesterday arrived in Kanungu district to investigate shoddy work at Kambuga hospital.
The team headed by Eng. Patrick Zongoza the head of infrastructure and monitoring unit first met with district officials in the afternoon.
Eng. Patrick Zongoza revealed that the team received complaints from a group addressing themselves as concerned citizens that the renovation works in the 1st and 2nd Phase at Kambuga hospital were done in a shoddy manner.
The team added that the whistle blowers also informed the committee that the hospital management committee refused to accepted the renovation works worth 700 million shillings.
Speaking at the meeting in the district board room, Kanungu district chairperson Canon Josephine Kasya welcomed the team to investigate these concerns and promised to avail all the needed assistance in this investigation.
