STAY AWAY FROM POLITICS WHEN ON DUTY —-MAYOR KAKYEBEZI WARNS JOURNALISTS

The Mbarara city Mayor Robert Mugabe’ Kakyebezi has warned journalists against meddling in politics during their line of duties.

Kakyebezi noted that it is for this reason that some of them are tortured and beaten while on duty.

He however condemned the brutality by security agencies on the journalists as they perform their journalistic duties.

He said this today 3rd March 2021 while officiating at the launch of mknewslink.com office at Balya Plaza third floor room 09.

Kakyebezi was representing the minister of Local Government Raphael Magyezi as the chief guest.

Kakyebezi applauded Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante the managing director mknewslink.com for the perseverance he has passed through in his 20 year journey of journalism.

The function was graced by Rev.Fr. Dr. Karemire the Vice Chancellor University of Saint Joseph’s Mbarara West Ankole bishop Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni plus  journalists from other media houses.
