STOP LAMENTING AND WORK TOWARDS DEVELOPMENT OF THE KINGDOM-BP KAHUMA

The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese, Rt. Rev. Samuel Kahuma Abwooli, challenged people of Bunyoro Kitara to stop lamenting and work hard towards the development of the Kingdom.
He said this yesterday while presiding over a scientific thanks giving prayer service of the Omukama of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom Dr. Solomon Rukirabasaija Iguru 1 at St. Peter’s cathedral- Duhaga as part of the celebrations to mark his 26th coronation anniversary celebrations.
The King called off this year’s coronation anniversary celebrations (Empango) due to the threat posed by the deadly corona virus.
The service has been attended by emeritus Archbishop Stanley Ntagali, Vicent Kirabo, the Hoima diocesan Bishop, and the Bunyoro-Tooro Regional Khadhi Irumba Mohamed among others
Bunyoro queen Margret Karunga Adyeeri also reiterated her dismay to many subjects who keep lamenting about failed projects and the swindled funds instead of giving support and called for unity.
Bunyoro’s premier Andrew Byakutaga said that a lot has been done especially renovation of the palace perimeter wall but pledged to set up more development projects as well as demanding for the Kingdom’s public university.
Speaker after speaker appealed to Ugandans to continue observing the measures that were put in place by the ministry of health to avoid the spread of COVID19.
