STOP TAKING BRIBES—TRAFFIC DIRECTOR WARNS HIS OFFICERS

The director for traffic in Uganda Mr. Kasiima Steven has directed all Road Users to Know Their Rights on the way and utilizes the road effectively so as to deal away with accidents on the roads especially in Rwenzori region.
Kasiima was speaking at the launch of FICA SALAM (reach safely} campaign which started in masaka, mbale and then Rwenzori region. The function that was held at kitumba headquarters east division fort portal municipality in kabarole district on this week.
while talking to a number of road users who included the taxi operators,bus operators,boda boda operators,kasiima disclosed some of the major causes of accidents such as dangerous loading,over speeding,driving while drunk,failure to adhere with road signs among others.
He however said that they are already prepared to deal with those traffic officers that want to tarnish their name by taking bribes.
