Ugandans have been asked to apply all the possible measures to fight the deadly COVID-19that has threatened lives in the whole world.
This was sounded by the Buhweju district woman Member of Parliament Oliver Koyekyenga, while talking to our reporter on Thursday 26th March 2020.
“If we don’t apply the possible measures and adhere to the rules as set by the ministry of health and president Musveni, then we have a big problem, Koyechenga said.
On the issue of public transport, Hon Koyekyenga said the bodaboda cyclists should adhere to the law and keep in lockdown for 14 days as they face a high risk of contracting the virus since they carry different people.
“It’s unfortunate that the government sent learners home to guard against the spread of the virus but parents just allow them to walk freely to every place, they will get infected and it becomes a big battle, she added.
“Report to the RDC and his team all those people who returned from a broad , tell them not to hide because the government wants to test them and treat them for free, if they hide then they will cause the easy spread of the virus to hundreds of Ugandans,” she urged.
Her words come at a time when Uganda has already confirmed 14 positive cases of COVID-19.
Covid-19 broke up in China and has currently killed more than 20,000 worldwide while others are still getting infected and Countries like Spain and Italy are facing uncontrollable deaths every day.
