STRANGE BUT TRUE: TYCOON HASSAN BASAJABALABA RECONCILES WITH CANON BASHAASHA FAMILY

The Christmas for 2022 will never be forgotten in the history of greater western Uganda and Bushenyi district in particular because it reconciled sworn enemies for over ten years; Tycoon Hassan Basajababalaba and Mr. Willis Bashaasha and all the Bashaashas.
The deal was sealed during the last Christmas holidays when Mzee Yorakam Bashaahsa had a thanks giving at his home in Katungu Bushenyi.
Strangely, Tycoon Basajabalaba attended the function and according to credible sources who attended the function and gave a speech that shocked everyone.

The two strong families in Bushenyi district and the region have been at loggerheads for a long time which even attracted the president of Uganda Yoweri Museveni many times between 2012 to 2015.

The conflicts stemmed from what Tycoon Basajabalaba termed as disrespect of the highest order by the then district chairman for Bushenyi in 2012 Mr. Willis Bashaasha whose election he had funded in 2011.

The conflicts raged on including murder threats that escalated when Mr Willis Bashaasha’s security guard was killed and many of Tycoon Hassan’s aides were arrested including now the powerful aide Hajji Muhammed Lukwago.

Between 2011 to 2015 President Museveni mediated about four different times in a bid to resolve the sharp conflicts between the two families

Bushenyi leaders would frequent state house in order to resolve the conflicts of the two families.

After the thanks giving during last Christmas for Canon Bashaasha a meeting was held for three people Willis Bashaasha, Tycoon Hassan Basajabalaba and Can. Hon.
