Suspected thieves last night broke into the offices of Bulima primary school in Bwijanga Sub County, Masindi district and severely injured the schools security guard.
The incident happened last night after the thieves attacked the security guard who was on duty.
The schools head teacher Jimmy Obbonyo told www.mknewslink.com this morning that the thieves gained access to his office after breaking the padlocks and also attempted to break into the room that houses the schools solar system but failed.
Obbonyo added that the thieves also inflicted several machete cuts on the night guard Alfred Mwesigwa on the head and left him unconscious.
The head teacher said the guard has been rushed to Hoima referral hospital in critical condition adding police from Hoima had taken sniffer dog that was tracking the thieves.
Obbonyo could not tell whether the thieves took anything from the office since he was not being allowed to access it as he waited for investigators from Masindi police station.
He however said the thieves left several paper scattered papers in the office.
When our reporter contacted the Albertine police spokes person Allan Hakiza said he had not received information regarding the matter.
