TANGA ODOI WARNS SHEEMA NRM CANDIDATES AGAINST VOTER BRIBERY

The NRM electoral commission Chairman; Tanga Odoi has strongly warned the Party candidates in Sheema municipality to abstain from using money to rig the forthcoming primary elections scheduled for May this year.
Addressing all NRM candidates at Sheema municipal headquarters in Sheema district today,Odoi said he is not ready to lose his fatty job due to electoral malpractices during the forthcoming elections.
Sheema is among the six newly created municipalities set to elect their political leaders at different levels on 19th July2018.
Dr.Elioda Tumwesigye, the minister of innovations, science and Technology who was also at the function urged voters to vote without bias if they are to elect competent leaders.
So far seven people have shown their interest to represent Sheema municipality in the 10th parliament. Among the candidates is; David Kamukama, a Kampala based young lawyer, Eng.Raymond Kamugisha from state house,Jonathan Bongonzya; a manufacturing consultant,Jonath Tumwiine; former commissioner in Public service commission, Cadre Mucunguzi; former RDC Kyotera ,Polly Nkwasiibwe Kataate and Joseph Mwebesa.
For the post of mayor, Lawyer Kahara and Yese Muubangizi are warming up to grab the seat.
However, other political parties have not yet revealed a list of their fronted candidates for the forthcoming elections.
