TEACHERS IN WESTERN UGANDA INSIST ON STRIKE

Teachers under their umbrella organization Uganda National Teachers’ Union UNATU have insisted that they will continue with industrial action until the government pardons their request of salary enhancement.
The Coordinator Uganda National Teachers’ Union South Western for southwestern regions David Muhanguzi Kaniga sounded this during a press briefing held at the regional offices in Mbarara town.
He called up all the teachers to remain at home on Monday until there is clear agreement between the government and the teacher.

plight of teachers who need to settle and
provide quality education of what the learners need.
Teachers across the country began their industrial action on Monday 20thmay2019 this year after failure by the government to fulfill their agreement on salary enhancement.
