In Sheema—
Police in Sheema district yesterday fired tear gas and live bullets to disperse boda boda riders who wanted to break cells at Kakindo police post.
The angry riders tried to break into the cells so that they could lynch three suspects who allegedly attempted to murder a boda boda rider.
They accused the police of supporting crime instead of curbing it wondering why they have not punished the three arrested suspects.
However, Sheema Central Police station OC CID Bibian Aconge told www.mknewslink.com reporter that they are still investigating the matter before they can take the next course of action against the suspects.
On Tuesday at around 9:20 Pm, Johnbosco Mwebembezi was attacked by some people who cut his neck and took away his motorcycle UEV 951Y leaving him to die.
His life was saved by residents who rushed him to the hospital for medication.
Three people were later netted and are currently detained at Kakindo police station pending court.
