In Masindi—
There is tension in Pakanyi subcounty as leaders conflict with Robinson Ochaya officer in charge of Kaborogota police post in Pakanyi Sub County in Masindi district.
The leaders accuse Ochaya of disrespecting them and not involving them when handling their local cases.
A number of village chairpersons from Pakanyi Sub County while meeting the RDC pointed out that OC Robinson Ochaya does not cooperate with the local leaders mostly when handling cases.
“It’s not only the village chairpersons, I also have challenges with the OC of Kaborogota police post, he is not cooperative yet I’m the head of security in my sub county,” Frank Asiimwe the LCIII chairperson noted.
The aggrieved Asiimwe also told the Resident District Commissioner that whenever he invites OC Robinson Ochaya for security meetings, he doesn’t turn up rather send representatives.
“Sometimes I need him physically, but he doesn’t turn up rather send a representative,” He told the RDC.
Ms. Rose Kirabira Kobusinge the Resident District Commissioner has vowed to investigate the matter adding that it’s unfortunate if it’s true that the security officer has refused to cooperate with the local leaders.
She noted that every leader has a responsibility adding that area chairpersons are of importance in the area.
Cosmas Byaruhanga the Masindi district chairperson called for cooperation among them noting that they have responsibilities to play and they are all serving the same people.
“Let us work together and cooperate, because we are serving the same people,” He further noted.
