As Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality voters prepare to participate in tomorrow’s NRM primary elections, no winner has been predicted as per today 3rd Sept. 2020.
All the four candidates among the 7 are pulling a Rope each one towards his own direction.
The four candidates who are strong include; the incumbent Gordon Arinda Cowboy, Derrick Kabuura Baimukye, Arnold Spencer Turwomwe and Marvin Baryaruha.
Derrick Kabuura Baimukye joined the race late thus no one expected him to become relevant and strong but he has surprised many with his popularity within the race and it cannot come as a surprise when he wins.
He went home to home interacting with the voters and he commands big support in Ishaka division where he is born and it has the largest number of voters.
Arnold Spencer Turwomwe goes under ground, does not want to be seen by every one but has ensured that he reaches every voter in the municipality.
His late father Spencer Turwomwe being a former strong politician before he died, many people have come to support the son because of the strong attachment they had with the father.
Arnold commonly known as Ekitondore is good and lobbying voters Though he is young, he is also eloquent.
Arinda Gordon Cowboy is the area incumbent MP and he has contributed towards the welfare of schools, churches and mosques.
He doesn’t amplify conflicts with the people. He is free with everyone and he calls most of the voters in the constituency by their names.
Marvin Baryaruha is a new entrant in the Bushenyi Ishaka politics but started reasonably early to campaign and the protestants know him because he has been the diocesan chancellor at West Ankole diocese in Bweranyangi.
He has teamed up with the tycoon Hassan Bassajabalaba who is selling his name in the constituency.
He has released a manifesto which is pro people for Bushenyi Ishaka municipality.
Among the above four, no one can tell the winner even though voting is just hours from now.
Chris Muganzi is the 5th candidate and commands support in two wards of Bunyarigi and Ruharo where he is born and it has always been on record that the people of Bunyarigi and Ruharo vote one person {block voters}.
The other two candidates; Dr. Musoke Lutagi and Nasser Kankuriremu never engaged in active campaign thus they do not mean much in this election.
