THREE ARRESTED OVER DEATH OF MECHANIC IN MBARARA

 Mbarara Central police has in custody three suspects in connection to the murder of Stuart Tumwesigye, a local mechanic.

According to Police, three include; JasonTugume, Joan Tusimiire, and Micheal Tumusiime.

Police said that these were held on Saturday in connection to the death of Tumwesigye who disappeared from his work place in Mbarara town on July 2nd 2019.

His lifeless body was found in Kiyanja pond in Kiyanja cell in Kamukuzi division of Mbarara municipality.

Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, said that initial investigations indicate that the deceased was strangled before his body was dumped in the pond.

Kasasira said the Police are to investigating the motive of the murder.

Sura Mugabe, a friend to the deceased, told journalists that they suspected that Tumwesigye had been kidnapped and expected the kidnappers to demand a ransom in vain.
