THREE PEOPLE ARRESTED IN BUSHENYI FOR PRINTING, DISTRIBUTING FAKE MONEY

Police in Bushenyi district are holding one man and two women over printing and distribution of counterfeit Ugandan currency notes.
Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson said that the three conned 1.7 m shillings from Andrew Bweyare, a business man operating in Bushenyi town.
Tumusiime identified the suspects as Angela Kamayonza 37 years a fruit vender in Bushenyi town, Rachael Katusime, a resident of Kyeizooba sub county and ring leader Meshach Tindyebwa 49 years, a resident of Rwegoma in Kabarole district.
He said that the three were arrested after Bweyare reported the matter to the police flying squad department that tracked them.
Tumusiime appeals to public to be on high alert as a number of conmen dealing in counterfeit notes is increasing in the country.
