THREE PEOPLE KILLED IN RUKUNGIRI ACCIDENT

Three people have today died and three others are admitted following an accident that occurred at Makobore along Rukungiri  Kanungu road at around 06:00am.

The deceased have been identified as Hope Katunda 78 yrs old and Royi Sunday 36 yrs plus a 3rd victim who died in Nyakibale hospital one Eve  Kyatuhire aged 48 years all residents of Rutete cell Kabwoma parish Nyakajeme s/c Rukungiri district.   

While as three other victims admitted at Nyakibale hospital are; Eunice Tumwebaze 41 yrs, Kedresi Kahungire 49 yrs and Mary Komuntara 70   

The over speeding vehicle Reg no UAM 641N Isuzu forward whose driver’s particulars arenot yet established because is on run lost control and rammed into the 6 pedestrians who were coming from prayers.

Police visited the scene and took the bodies to Nyakibale hospital mortuary for postmortem and inquiries are still at hand.
