RUKUNGIRI RDC CLOSES THREE SCHOOLS

The Rukungiri Resident district Commissioner; Martin Mugabe
has officially closed three schools operating without license and warned
several others to close before he visits them.
The schools closed are; Omukarangara Nursery and primary school, God Hope primary school and Kasharara Nursery and primary school while others warned include;Zed foundation Institute College, Rutooma vocational training centre all in Buhunga sub county, Rujumbura County in Rukungiri district.
This follows president directive to all RDC’s and District police
commanders to close schools operating without license within their areas of jurisdiction.
A team led by the RDC , deputy RDC Justine Muhindo Mbabazi and inspector of schools in charge of Rujumbura county ;Dons Amutuhaire yesterday started supervising schools within Buhunga sub county.
Mugabe said that he will be moving around to see those school that are still operating though they don’t have all the qualifications
needed. “its unfortunate some of these schools had students who had alreadypaid school fees am not going to close them at the moment but their head teachers and directors should come to my office.” He said
However the deputy RDC, Mrs. Justine Muhindo Mbabazi invited directors of the schools that are operating without required qualifications at the district by 7th march for further interrogations about their
operations.
Rukungiri district has a total of over ninety five schools that are
operating without license.
