THREE SIBLINGS DIE IN HOUSE FIRE , ANOTHER NURSES SEVERE INJURIES

Three siblings were on Monday night burnt to death after fire gutted their house in Kihomboza 1 cell, Kihomboza ward, Bujumbura division in Hoima Municipality.
The fire broke out at around 10:30pm and burnt Jonathan Muganyizi, 5, Andrew Muhumuza, 4, and a two year old Asumpta Kabanyoro.
Their elder sister Juliet Tusiime, 9, survived after a risky rescue and is admitted at Hoima regional referral hospital nursing severe burn injuries.
It is alleged that the children were left unattended to by their mother who was away attending a burial vigil of a relative who died on Sunday in the nearby home.
Derick wamani, a resident of Kihomboza says that they heard the helpless children screaming for help and forced the door open.
Jonan Wabyona another resident says that they attempted to save 3 of their children but were not able to because of the heavy smoke.
William Mugabi, the father of the deceased children told www.mknewslink.com reporter that the magnitude of the fire is likely to be arson because they did not leave inside anything that can cause a fire outbreak.
ASP Julius Hakiza Allan, the Albertine regional police spokesperson has attributed the incident to negligence by parents adding that as Police they have started investigating the incident.
